You and I.

I and You.

I’m still in shock, I’m still hurting.  That won’t go away for a while I suppose.  I’ve lost you lass and it was too sudden by far.  We grew up as neighbors and cousins and being the same age always helped me get through tough social situations.  I appreciated you more than you ever knew.

As adults we grow apart as we begin new lives with our own families and I’ve often thought we should have been closer in recent years, but we just couldn’t make it happen, distance was always our issue.  I’m so blessed to have had such an amazing time with you this past St. Patrick’s Day.

I’m not sure what happens for you when you die, but I know this, I’ll never forget you and I’ll always cherish the time we had together.

Beginning to write again after several years of being in the corporate world. A few of my posts are old stories I wrote in high school or earlier. Most are new. I like to write emotionally. I like to write things that are close to me or hit hard for me at different moments. I write everything, anything, whatever comes to mind. Some stories are true, some are fantasy. Mostly, I write for me, so that I'm relevant to me, so that I remember. Feel free to let me know what you think. I love feedback.
